A PERSONAL COMMITMENT

Honoring Thomas Burl.

Dr. Burl’s late brother, Thomas Burl, was a military veteran whose influence helped inspire the original radio show and the practice’s commitment to veterans. His memory remains an enduring part of this work.

Practice records document VA Community Care Network participation. Current status and individual coverage must be verified. The practice is an independent community office. VA determines eligibility and authorized care.

Understand your dental-care options.

VA dental benefits depend on individual eligibility. Enrollment in VA health care does not by itself mean every dental service is covered.

For community care, obtain a referral from your VA team before scheduling. After scheduling, follow VA instructions to notify your team and obtain your authorization letter before care. The letter identifies your approved provider, services and authorization period. Additional care may require another approval.

Private insurance through VADIP

Eligible veterans enrolled in VA health care and eligible CHAMPVA beneficiaries may be able to buy discounted private dental insurance. Premiums and patient costs apply; office participation must be checked for the specific plan.
